After all, look where trouble got his parents-- in jail. But, he isn't exactly afraid of socializing. It's an easy task for him, especially when he's approached by other people. He's good at talking and understanding others, albeit a bit quieter than most others who may share the same traits, but good nonetheless. He's got a strong will that gets him where he wants to be, and an unbelievable desire for a simple life in the city. Why must things be clouded up with drama when you can spend your days lazing about, going through the motions while being content? He's a tad bit cocky, it's a simple truth, but he'd never admit it. In fact, he can catch himself feeling bits of guilt when he talks down on others in his mind. He naturally means well, and never tries to trouble other people when he can help it, and he believes that he can help it 99.9% of the time. No matter what, to Shuzo, if something goes wrong in his life, it's his fault, no matter what, so he tries to keep things as simple as possible. And last but certainly not least, Shuzo can put things to the back of his mind like no other when he decides that it's an inconvenience to his life and the way that he feels. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that this can make him come off as pretty selfish when his problems mix in with other people. HISTORY SUMMARY: When he started out in this life, Shuzo had no control over his family, or the choices that they made. That lack of control is what caused his life to become what it is now, because if he'd had been able to get a say in the decisions that his parents made for him, then perhaps things would be more comfortable. It's ridiculous for him to regret the things that he can't control, but nonetheless it's what he feels. His parents, jobless, without an education, and without a clue struggled to make money and support their budding family of three children- the eldest being Shuzo Takahashi. Circumstances soon found two conflicted adults resorting to a low life of drug dealing. But, they were messy businesspeople, and almost as quickly as they had entered the occupation, they were caught, arrested, and Shuzo was separated from his older brother's to live with a new family, with a nice house, a nice amount of money, and to live in a much nicer part of Tokyo. The new home would have been easier to accept on the eleven year old Shuzo's part if he hadn't missed his siblings so much, but sadly, they haven't been seen since. It was a rough ordeal, the whole switching over to a completely different lifestyle bit, but his gentle personality made things easier. As far as any emotion pertaining to his family, Shuzo simply avoided the topic. In his head, with his new host family-- they didn't exist, because that much sadness was unnecessary in Shuzo's new life. He attended a very prestigious private school for young boys and girls, as his new family could afford these things, and made surprisingly good grades while in attendance, discovered his talent of running high school track, made cool new friends, had a few cool girlfriends, and adapted to this new way of living over time, jogging with an easy stride through life by the time he had graduated. His new family-- two younger siblings and two wealthy parents, were kind, but strict. As soon as he graduated, Shuzo was expected to make his own way in the world. Of course, this was a bit of a shock to him, suddenly having to revert to scraping by for food in a shitty apartment, but he was getting his education payed for. It was just the maintaining a job part that came as a difficulty. Nothing seemed to truly interest him, and nothing about his personality intrigued any possible employers. A quiet college kid with a dirty past and nothing that particularly stuck out about him? Not really the makings of an ideal worker. Desperate, Shuzo began to scrounge around for work that wasn't exactly... decent, but it brought in money. He eventually discovered his current profession of being a runner, delivering mysterious packages from place to place with no knowledge of the trouble he could possibly be discovering. He ignores it though. As he does with most things. What he really does for a living doesn't exist to him. Not until he gets caught. |
